Chief Technology Officer

Before joining InsideWork, Sam spent his college days at the University of California, Irvine working on projects in computer graphics, linguistics, software design, artificial intelligence, and even a small foray into genetics & information theory — altogether earning him a degree in Information and Computer Science.

After 2 years of working with The Navigators at the University of Arizona in Tucson, he returned to Southern California to marry his college sweetheart and get his hands back into technology. At InsideWork, Sam and his team have been laying a new foundation for the IT infrastructure of InsideWork to allow for more creativity, faster development and future scalability. Through the introduction of a new content platform, they have revamped the aesthetic, functionality, and usability of the InsideWork website, and they are also building InsideWork's presence in the mobile (iPhone) and social (Facebook) spaces.

Do you ever wish you could zero-in with a search term to find just what you need, just when you need it? Or maybe you like the idea of a good old-fashioned list you can scan to find a topic you might never think to enter as a search term... At InsideWork you can have both.

Sam Nguyen wonders: "What if businesspeople pulled for each other as much as we pull for ourselves? What if we got in the habit of celebrating excellence wherever we find it? Of assuming the egg on another person’s chin is more likely a slip of the fork than an indication he can’t find the hole in his face?"
