What Have You Done This Year?

Taking Stock

In September, Jessica Sutherland, head of IIR Middle East, asked Tom Peters, "What have you done this year?

Tom Peters’ response is an exuberant five page rant that underscores his most passionate public pursuits. It is titled, aptly, What I’ve Done This Year.

It’s a good question to ask at the closing of the year:

  • What have I done with these 12 months?
  • What was a WOW!
  • What would I take back if I could?
  • Have I behaved in the workplace like somebody who loves God and loves people and believes works matters?

What, in matter of fact, have I done this year?

  • That could come across badly…

Retrospectively, I could see that my comment could be taken as a criticism or condemnation.

It wasn’t intended as that; I meant it as an honest question - and as encouragement to post something thought-provoking, a post that really tells us (your readers) something.

  • sorry to be slow…

my WOW experiences this year include:

    • publishing a book called The Youth Worker’s Guide to Helping Teenagers in Crisis (with my good friend and co-writer Rich Van Pelt). Amazon has it. So does YouthSpecialties.com

    • designing content for InsideWork

    • helping my friend Ralph die at home

    You?
