Surprise! Virgin America has kicked off yet another unique campaign.
Virgin America debuted its first airplane in its hometown of San Francisco. The plane was named, Jefferson Airplane, as a tribute to the legendary Bay Area rock band. Then Virgin announced a program that invites their customers to name all of their airplanes. As Virgin says, “You name it. We fly it.” Check it out, and make sure to click to papercraft as well.
Virgin America demonstrates that the trend of getting customers involved in developing your product or content is not just for software or the internet.
How can you invite your customers to engage with you, in a fun way, to develop your product or service? Now your business can be an experience that your customers enjoy with you, becoming a part of the family along the way. If an airlines, for crying out loud, can do it, can’t the rest of us? As we’ve often said business is about building a community.
Here’s hoping to see your name on the side of a Virgin jet!
