If you’re like me, you often get ideas or thoughts while on the move. And you can’t write it down or email it because you're driving or you've left your computer. But you almost always have your cell phone. Now along comes Jott, a startup by two former Microsoft employees. When the idea strikes, call the toll free number and record a message up to thirty seconds long. The message is transcribed in India, and within minutes you will receive an email of the message.
The service goes one step further with Jottcast. Scenario: You suddenly remember that you need to remind all the parents that the soccer game location has changed. Through the Jott website you'd already created a "Soccer Parents" group. Call the toll free number, say “Soccer Parents”, recite your message, and everyone on the list will receive an email of that message.
I’ve signed up. Seems like a promising productivity application.
