Many of our long time readers will recognize the names of Brandon Stuut and Andrew Shelansky. Brandon and Andrew were the technology team, the “dynamic duo,” who helped launch InsideWork. Andrew was also an occasional writing contributor to our site.
Last summer they spun off from InsideWork to develop an innovative technology business called HiBox Technology. HiBox is the solution to what the guys call “The Lonely Lobby Syndrome.” I know we all experience it frequently, walking into a store or business lobby and no one is there to greet you or even know that you are there. Many businesses have cut back on the expense of a receptionist or because the receptionist is multi-tasking somewhere else in the office, no one is out front to greet you.
HiBox has developed a technology called the “virtual receptionist” that recognizes your presence as a guest as distinct from an employee. The system greets you and then notifies someone in the company to come to the lobby.
