On my flight to Chicago this morning, heading home to Colorado, I read:
As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
I Samuel 12:23-24, New International Version
It connected with my thoughts from No Time to Think, Part 2: No Time to Trust. Not just significant, but absolutely central to leadership that flows from a deep trust in God is a faithfulness to pray for the people in your care. Samuel’s whole life of leadership exemplifies this.
Now on to my connecting flight!
