Genesis 2:15
New International Version
The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Work is not something we do apart from God, as the secular worker would view it. Work is not something beneath God’s dignity or concern, as the Two–Story view believes. Nor is work a game that we play with non–Christians in order to accomplish a more important agenda, as the Mainstream advocate holds. Instead, work is a major part of human life that God takes very seriously.

It was Michael Novak, while addressing 250 business and professionals, began by stating that we needed to recognize that what we were doing at 8:00 AM on Monday morning was an act of worship…….that God had created this planet with all its resources and has now invited us to be a co developer with him. And what is our assignment? To guard, tend and keep these resources. Gen 2:15 How refreshing in a culture where "full time" service is continually being championed. See his book, Business as a Calling.
