Acts 20:33-35
New International Version
I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing. You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Business as a Calling (page 15), Free Press 1996
Half of the pleasure from the business calling derives from a sense that the system of which it is a part is highly beneficial to the human race, morally sound and one of the great social achievements of all time. The other half is personal — finding purpose and meaning in what one does.

Giving to Recieve
The Bible is a book of finance…how to handle one’s money, how to bless others with it and increase by your giving. This is part of what I believe the Lord is saying when He says "it is more blessed to give than to recieve". I find the more I give (sow) financially, the more I recieve (reap) from the Father’s hand, both monetarially and in many other ways. In His infinite wisdom He knew we would be more fulfilled when we let go of what we have to bless others, than we would be if we tried to take security in these earthly gifts and hoard them-to our own harm.
